RESULTS OF 2007 RANKINGS

In 2007 AFR BOSS ranked the top 10 Australian business schools based on alumni survey data. The table below lists the schools based on how they ranked in four categories (overall rank, alumni satisfaction with school, alumni improvement in skills, and alumni perception of value for money).

To see general information on all Australian business offering MBA programs, completed a 12-subject-minimum degree, either full time or part time, between 2002 and 2006, were eligible to provide data to score schools. Respondents were asked to rate the institution they attended on a variety of measures, as well as provide information about their reasons for undertaking an MBA. Schools were ranked based on alumni opinion on 22 individual measures, ranging from the quality of teaching to networking opportunities to specific skills developed.

Each school's score was made up largely by amount of satisfaction with the school attended and the level of improvement achieved in a range of skills. The remainder of the score was derived from responses to two measures: whether graduates felt their school offered value for the investment made; and whether they would do their degree with their old school if they had their time again. AFR BOSS thanks the alumni who participated in the survey. The five prizewinners have been notified. Data analysis was conducted by Fairfax Business Research.
